2011 Companies queried

Written by

This year I am keeping track of the companies that I query and that do not offer a discount. This is not to penalize that company in any way. But, I am asked about company xyz and it will just to be quick place to reference if they have already been asked. If it is any way construed as negative I will remove it.

I am branching out and asking some companies that I haven't before. First round is email, then I begin calling.

2011 queries:
- Colt = Perhaps in the future
- SigSauer =  per Brad B. none offered, reconfirmed not avail 7/2011
- Glock = per Brad none offered, added GSSF info
- MidwayUSA = per Brad none offered
- Springfield Armory = Sent some promo materials
- KelTec = No
- Kimber = emailed
- EAA = No
- Bianchi International = emailed bounced back; have to call
- HK = none confirmed 7/2011

2010 queries:
- Comp-Tac = No

Glock GSSF Discount

Written by

Glock does not offer an NRA Instructor Discount, but if you join the Glock Shooting Sports Foundation (GSSF) you are able to buy (1) pistol per year at wholesale pricing.

The catch is that you must have been a member for over a year, or you must join for at least two years. Details are on the GSSF website. Pricing form is below:

There have been a number of folks asking for it. I only glanced at it but it appears that a number of items went down in price (M&Ps, Sigma) from last year.

Brad B. reports that if you contact Brownells with your instructor ID that you can receive their gunsmith/dealer pricing. It is significant and they have a lot of stuff!

Crossbreed Holsters

While not an NRA Instructor Discount per se they do offer discounts for NRA Members, LEO's, and military. Every instructor should be an NRA Member and therefore eligible.

From their FAQ page:

"What about the NRA discount, do you offer any other discounts?
Answer:

Here's the deal on the discounts we offer and how to redeem them.

We offer LEO's, Military and NRA members a 10% discount.

Discounts may not be "stacked", no double dipping.

NRA members must be current members.

LEO's and Military may be active, retired or reserve.

To redeem the 10% discount, you need to type your code in the coupon box when you check out. Whether it's on the phone or in the shopping cart, the discount must be redeemed at the time of the order.

As of 09/01/09 we will not go back and do discounts retro-actively.

We just don't have the time to chase them down. It's your responsibility to redeem it correctly.

NRA members, your code is "NRA" and you must give your membership number in the additional instructions box when you checkout or over the phone if calling the order in.

LEO's, your code is "LEO" and you need to state the department/municipality/agency that employs you in the additional instructions box or mention it on the phone.

Military your code is "MIL", you need to provide branch of service, and current station. Same thing, mention it in the additional instructions box or over the phone.

To clarify, type your respective code in the coupon box and the rest of your info in the additional instructions box when you check out

Any concerns with this program must be handled via email directly to the owner at
