Instructor 2011 program Henry Repeating Arms

UPDATE 04/11/11:
Congratulations WA!! Gov. Gregoire signed today and it should go into effect 90 days from end of session (mid-June)! Thanks to everyone that called, emailed, and wrote their legislature. Glad to see this common sense legislation passed.

I posted about HB1016 (and SB5112) earlier urging folks to call/write their state legislator. I am pleased to post that HB1016 has passed the WA House and Senate. There was little opposition (only 4 Congressmen and ZERO Senators) voted against this common sense legislation.

It has been signed off by the House Speaker and Senate President. It now awaits the Governor's signature (or not). Please call/write your legislators and thank them!

STATUS OF HB1016

So, supposedly on p 119 of "Combat Arms" there is an AD of the June issue of "Shooting Times" (confused yet?) with the pistol on the cover. Oh, and supposedly Ruger has a new pistol announcement on the 18th. Coincidence?

I am a little disappointed that it isn't built on the Zytel/polymer frame like the P345. This would reduce the weight, give you replaceable backstraps, add checkering to frontstrap, etc. That surely would have made it stand out (and also piss off the 1911 purists). Oh well, the purists have yet another 1911 to chose from. At least it doesn't have front cocking serrations.

Anyway, here is a pic of the pistol...(click to enlarge)

That leaves remarkably few that do not make a 1911. HA! When I bought my first one in 1990 people made fun of me because of the "wonder-nine" craze and said that the 1911 and 45ACP were done. Double-HA!

S&W 2011 Price List

There have been a number of folks asking for it. I only glanced at it but it appears that a number of items went down in price (M&Ps, Sigma) from last year.

UPDATE 4/4:
Got my new Fox CFP90 (drop shipped direct) today! It looks to be a very nice pack. It is definitely big (which I was looking for). Haven't had a chance to do anything with it yet, but very soon I will be loading it up and doing a review with pics. Thank you Sam and CJLENTERPRIZE.COM!

UPDATE 3/26:
CJLEnterprize.com called me today! One thing Sam said that really sticks out -- and that I have always believed -- is that it is not that mistakes or problems don't happen, but how a company handles them is how they are measured. I firmly believe this and he went above and beyond to make things right.

After a brief review of what happened, he promptly refunded the original order amount and is sending me a brand CFP90 at no charge! I am extremely happy as I still need a large ruck.

Kudos to CJLENTERPRIZE.COM and their great customer service.
P.S. Also thanks to the reader that let them know about my post!

Original post (from March 24) follows:

So, I ordered a medium ALICE pack from these folks. Great price and got it in 2 days.

I then ordered a large ALICE pack and waited a month. Nothing.
I emailed asking if I could pay the difference and get a MOLLE pack instead. I paid and waited.
Another 45 days.

I asked for a refund. Twice they agreed.
I contacted PayPal and disputed the charge and the very next day got the upgrade fee back. The vendor's response to the dispute was that it was the first time that they had heard of me -- despite MANY back and forth emails about the products and they had agreed TWICE to refund it. Glad I did dispute it, a few days longer and it would have been past the eligible Paypal dispute period. So, I at least got part of my money back. Unfortunately, the original amount paid for large ALICE was way past this deadline.

I complained to the vendor I didn't get a complete refund. The vendor asked if I still wanted the large ALICE pack and I said yes (I still needed a larger ruck). They even said they put it in the mail on several queries and would show up any day. That was several months ago.

Anyway, I have more time invested in this than I spent on the pack. But, my wife recently reminded me that I never got my pack so I thought I would let folks know.

Buyer beware -- check to see if the vendor has the item in stock and check to see what recourse your payment handler (Paypal, Google Checkout, etc) has --- specifically the time limit that you can dispute. If your vendor says delivery is 30-90 days beware.

And of course: If a price seems less than other comparable vendors there is probably a reason. The combined price I paid for the medium ALICE (I did get) and the large ALICE I never got from CJLENTERPRIZE.COM I could have ordered from anywhere.
ETA: I add this addendum this because CJLENTERPRIZE does offer some of the best prices on the internet and are willing to take care of their customers should there be a problem.

Best of luck.
